What a month it has been in London, with the unexpected passing of The Queen. Many events were cancelled, which means this month there is a plethora of things to see and do. Great art exhibitions to inspire.. Theatre is seriously hot right now and October is the month for a trick and a treat!
This month in London there is an abundance of art opening up. I have picked out 7 must see exhibitions along with a few extra’s to catch before they close this month. In addition, I’m definitely curious to see Frameless London, the new multi sensory exhibition opening 7 March. The Golden Key takes over the city on 15 October – a good one for little ones.
Music Con at The Excel Centre 22-23 October. A first.. Musical Theatre takes over The Excel Centre. Featuring the entire musical theatre community, all under one roof!
V&A Re:Imagining Musicals exhibition opens 15 October. If you are a member, there are some fantastic talks to tie in with the exhibition.
V&A Theatre Course with Matt Wolf begins on 2 October for 6 weeks. My favorite course, and a must for anyone who loves theatre. Exclusive interviews with creatives alongside Matt’s in depth knowledge of what to see this year.
Clean and Tidy Home 8-9 October. I’m curious I really am… This wouldn’t normally be something I’d be interested in, yet since lockdown I want every bit of help sorting things out so I can live in a clean and tidy home. Mrs Hinch here I come!
A new dark comedy ‘1797: The Mariner’s Revenge’ opens at The Old Royal Naval College. Included in your ticket is a complimentary rum cocktail at the ‘Skuttlebutt Bar’ and a chance to explore the Admiral’s House. A good one for Halloween.
Luke Jerram’s Gaia returns this month to Southwark Cathedral. The enormous globe continues to wow audiences. If you haven’t seen it, where better than Southwark. 11-30 Oct.
Mexico at Kew Gardens 1 -31 October. Discover the color and vibrancy of Mexico through new horticultural installations in Kew’s Temperate House. I missed the press preview, but my friends tell me it’s incredible. They have some good after hour activities scheduled.
NFL Games return to London with a month long run of games 2-30 October. Games take place at Tottenham Hotspur and Wembley Stadium.
