As we go into May, London is looking glorious. My May Super Seven is full of florals as Chelsea Flower Show comes to town. You will see new things appear throughout the month as London prepares to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in early June.

Lots of interesting new exhibitions have now opened so it’s a good time to get out and about. Or if you are looking to escape out of London for a few days, head to Cornwall, as Gourmet Guy has some great recommendations for any foodies heading that way.

The Gunpowder Plot: Finally this immersive exhibition opens in London and I’m actually excited with all the hype – yes me… A story I’ve grown up with along with millions of others. It is an immersive experience at The Tower of London that I think will thrill. It is open Wednesday to Sunday. Get tickets now if you haven’t already.

London Craft Week  9-15 May: LCW is brilliant. It is one of those weeks that is as insanely busy as you want it to be, and is the most inspiring. LCW have revamped the way their website works, so pick your choice of talks, workshops or featured programmes. Highlights for me Coal Drops Yard  and St James’s London & Remy Martin both have a good line up of diverse events.

3

La Pināta at Tobacco Dock 7 May : Tequila is my liquor of choice, so yes this festival appeals over me & my girls birthday weekend!  Learn about Mexican culture and food. Taste some of the best tequila and mezcal side by side, along with masterclasses and some of the finest agave spirit makers. We are definitely going. See you there. Buy tickets here

London is in full bloom this month with Chelsea Flower Show. You don’t have to have tickets to enjoy the full bloom programme that goes on in the surrounding area. Chelsea in Bloom are about the British Icons, and Belgravia are Beautifully British. Both have events happening. Top tip, if you want to eat somewhere book in advance or be prepared to wait. It is always very busy, but so worth being prepared.

My Super Seven has definitely missed a ‘Talk or two..’ Good news is that the museums have begun running their programmes, and a little bird sent me via Sotherby’s. Wow, what a line up they have. Take a look at the Sotherby’s Talks and let me know what you book – you may well see me there.
