The Queen’s Birthday gun salute 21 April 2022. If you missed the recent gun salute for the beginning of the Platinum Jubilee, this is a fabulous opportunity to watch it again. It takes part in Hyde Park at noon, or Tower of London at 1pm. The benefit of Hyde Park is you get to see all the King’s Troop and their horses, which is quite spectacular.
LATES at Somerset House 13 April : This is an April Super Seven to book immediately! How about the chance to watch or take part in a live sculpting session with artist Leeroy New. There will be dance performances, a DJ and Filipino inspired street food. Marylebone Food Festival 26 April – 1st May. I love a food festival, and in the heart of London you can buy tickets for gastro tours, masterclasses, tasting menus and cocktail masterclasses.
Visit Parliament | As Big Ben returns from under the scaffolding, the Speaker of the House of Commons is opening a rarely seen part of the Palace of Westminster for the first time. New tours are available between 4-14 April. If you’ve never done a tour of Parliament before they are really interesting, whoever you vote for a better understanding is always a good thing! Future Shock at 180 The Strand | Opens 29 April and looks to be a winner for those that love a cool art / light exhibition. 180 definitely stand out with these exhibitions. Book it now as weekends will be really busy.

Inspiring Walt Disney at The Wallace Collection : In collaboration with the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, this is a look at Walt Disneys inspiration from French 18th-century art. Opens 6 April.
Comic Super heroes at Foundling Museum : Did you know that nearly every Superhero was an orphan.. No I hadn’t realised either. It makes for a fascinating exhibition at the Foundling Museum. Opens 1 April
Boat Race Sunday 3 April. Women start at 15.44 and Men at 16.45. Who will you be cheering on – Oxford or Cambridge? I went out this morning and it was glorious… will it be as cold, sunny and less choppy on Sunday – who knows? I’m going for an Oxford win…
BOOK NOW : Gunpowder Plot at Tower of London opens in May. This immersive experience tells the Guy Fawkes story this summer.
Bake for Ukraine : UPDATE : BAKE for Ukraine had their bake sale on Saturday 2nd April and raised over £10,000 in just over 2hrs. All profits going to UNICEF’s Emergency Response in Ukraine. Well done to the entire team.
