Chicama is a restaurant that has been neighbourhood favourite from the minute it opened. Instagram has certainly helped this Peruvian fish restaurant now become a ‘go to’ destination in Chelsea. As much for the beautiful pink shabby chic decor, to the Peruvian menu it serves up.
Chicama is the sister restaurant of Pachamama in Marylebone, another absolute favourite of ours – although Pachamama has a far more meat inspired menu.
Where is Chicama?
You can find Chicama at the top of the Kings Road. It is on the bend in the road that has always been known as World’s End. Look across the road and you will see the original location of Vivienne Westwood’s shop that has the anti-clockwise rotating clock.
It is also a 2 min walk south to Chelsea Embankment, where Turner lived and painted some of his historic London scenes.
This October, Chicama has launched a new autumnal tasting menu. The rugs are out, heaters are burning, so you can still enjoy eating outside when the weather allows – and trust me, it really is lovely outside.
As well as keeping old favourites on their menu, there are some delicious new fish dishes along with some fabulous tasting autumnal mocktails & cocktails.
If you’re a vegetarian, you’re in luck as there is a fantastic vegetarian dishes. I do declare that their aubergine dish is absolutely one of my all time favourite dishes!
We return here for very good reason.
