This year, the Chinese New Year falls on 1st February. It is their largest festival of the year and they celebrate the beginning of the lunar calendar by feasting on lots of delicious Chinese food.
Whilst the street parties may not be happening in Chinatown, the lanterns are out. The Lunar Festival lasts for 15 days and this month Gourmet Guy has found 7 London restaurants to book and celebrate the event. Book quickly to avoid disappointment.
This is the “Year of the Tiger”. If this is your year, I’m told that wearing red underwear and red socks will ward off misfortune! Wishing you all a Happy Lunar New Year. Eat well.
